Company Information
Searching on the internet for a TMJ dental splint in 2002, I came across a US company selling an unusual looking dental guard called the `SleepRight`. It looked like it might do the job so I ordered one. It cost $100 to buy and ship from the US, took two weeks to deliver and, cost another £60 in VAT and customs clearance fees. But, it was worth it because it worked!
Five years later, PI in Partnership Limited was formed and we became the UK distributor of the SleepRight range of dental guards.
Ian, our sales and marketing director is committed to developing the UK market for both the Rx range of dental guards which are sold to dentists and the over the counter range that can be purchased without prescription. He is supported by Denise, Yvonne, Rachel, Sue and Suzy.
Introducing a product to a new market is challenging enough, but because bruxism is really not something that people are familiar with in the UK compared to the US, where both the SleepRight and the condition are widely known, we had the additional challenge of educating and informing as well.
Having approval of the products from the British Dental Health Foundation was our goal from day one and was achieved in the summer of 2008. We now have our first consignment of stock in the new UK packaging, proudly displaying the BDHF approved logo.
We want to be the number one resource and supplier of bruxism dental guards in the UK, but most of all, we want to help people benefit from a great product and give whatever encouragement and support we can.
The SleepRight Dental Guard is becoming known and appreciated by thousands of bruxism sufferers throughout the UK. The response to our initial TV ad on a Sky TV channel was fantastic. The SleepRight has also been featured in several leading magazines, including Prima, Chat and Aesthetic Dentistry.
